I woke up at 7 am L.T. and Diana asked to be woken up at 7:30 am. We got ready and went to breakfast at 8 am. After breakfast we had flag and had a meeting in the conference room. Group A took the Tube to Tower Hill and went to see the Tower of London. I took lots of pictures. We ate our sack lunches in the Tower. I even got to see the crown jewels. Some of us took pictures in a guard's vacant box.
After the Tower of London we went to Tower Bridge. We got to see two movies, one about the bridge's history and the other about its construction. We went down into the machinery room and saw how the arms are raised. At 3:30 we got to see the bridge raise and I took pictures. We saw about five Bobbies standing in a group and we asked them to take a picture with us and they did. We got a great group picture.
We went back to the Tube and rode back to Belsize Park, then walked back to Pax Lodge. We at dinner at 5 pm then got ready for the theater. I wore a plain pale blue dress with white pumps. Some of the group wen to see Fame and our group went to see Les Miserables. We had to take the bus because the Tube drivers went on strike at 8 pm. Les Miserables was fantastic. The music, the singing, the acting, it was all wonderful! After the musical we had to wait 45 minutes for a bus since the Tube was closed. We took the bus to the Free Hospital stop and walked to Pax Lodge. I tried to call Mom but she wasn't home. It would have been about 6 pm CST. Diana and I read and wrote in our journals till 12:15 am.
