June 10, 2003: Mont St. Michel

Mom and I got up at 6:30, washed our hair, and got dressed. I packed my suitcase and hauled it down two flights of stairs to the bus. I ate breakfast then got on the bus. We drove to Mont St. Michel.

Mom and I shopped for about an hour and a half then walked the rest of the way up the mountain to the Abbey. Long hike, many steps.

The view was spectacular. You could almost see across the English Channel. Mom got some great pictures. We wound our way back down the mountain through the streets.

I got ice cream (the aforementioned "Best Ice cream in the World"). Then mom bought a quiche plate at a gift shop. We got back on the bus and headed for our hotel. At the hotel we got to see our room. Mom and I have a great view of the ocean. Mom absolutely loves the room. Mom went on an adventure to scout out the area while I got ready for dinner.

We ate dinner downstairs. We had crepe, roast beef, cheese, and strawberry cream cake. Afterwards Mom went walking and I took a bath. When Mom got back we watched CNN and got ready for bed. Went to sleep around 10:30.
