Whew...long day.

Went to class this morning. We are still working on verbs in ECA, but today we started negating things. That is not fun.

In MSA we learned the names of fruit. Fruits are more fun. They have names like mishmishoon (apricots) and ananasoon (pineapple).

After class, Nathan, David and I met at Tasters to discuss our 10 day world tour of the Middle East. This trip...is going to rock. Want to hear the game plan? Good...because I'm going to tell you guys anyway. Now, this is tentative, and I'm going with three men, so the odds of this being what actually happens...are slim.

  • Thursday, June 21: Take bus to Sharm el-Sheikh after classes end for the session.

  • Friday, June 22: Arrive in Sharm el-Sheikh; Snorkeling

  • Saturday, June 23: Sunrise hike on Mt. Sinai; bus to Nuweiba; ferry to Akabah, Jordan

  • Sunday, June 24: Beach at Akabah; Bus to Petra

  • Monday, June 25: Petra; bus to Amman 6 Tuesday, June 26: Amman

  • Wednesday, June 27: Leave for Jerusalem...most likely spending most of the day at the border crossing...

  • Thursday, June 28: Jerusalem

  • Friday, June 29: Jerusalem; leave for Egypt

  • Saturday, June 30: Traveling; Arrive back in Cairo

I'm going with Nathan, David, and Professor Jacek. Professor Jacek is the head of the International Relations department at UALR. I'm so excited I can't sit still. This also means that I will be dropping off of the radar for a week and a half, because...most likely there will be no internet.

After we made our game plan, I had to hop in a taxi for Medan Tahrir, and high tail it up to the visa department to get my passport back. I think I set a world record. Mohandseen to Medan Tahrir, got my passport from the Mogamma, and back to Mohandseen in thirty minutes. It's a 15 minutes taxi ride to and from Medan Tahrir, so...yeah...I am like the wind...

After that little adventure, I fell asleep on my bed. So tired.

I just broke down and spent the five bucks to upgrade my journal to a paid account for two months. I finally got tired of the glaring orange background, and I wanted more options. Anyone like the new layout?
