We got up at 6:00, washed our hair, and got dressed and left for Versailles at 7:30 am to beat the crowds. When we got to Versailles everyone toured all the palace and bought things in the gift shop. The Hall of Battles was awesome. Outside we got some tickets for the Versailles gardens. It sprinkled outside. We got to see the Versailles fountains work using the original plumbing for only 1 hour on one day a week.

We got back on the bus and drove down to Marie Antoinette's L'Hameau. After a long walk in high heels we got to L'Hameau. It was wonderful.

There were animals everywhere and the cottages were just adorable. I got lots of pictures. We walked back and got on the bus.

We drove across Normandy to Chatres. We got out, took a short walk and got to see the cathedral at Chatre: Notre Dame de Chatres. I got a coin and some prayer beads for Paul. We walked back to the bus and drove to the Loire Valley, the wine country.

We got to our room, got ready, and went downstairs to dinner in the hotel restaurant. We had salad, cod (nasty!!!), and pineapple meringue pie. We were all very tired so we went up to bed. I watched part of a French show with French teens singing Madonna songs in English. I got tired then went to sleep.
