Washington to Germany

We got to Dulles right on time and managed to get to the Lufthansa bag check counter right before 100 other people arrived. VERY good timing. I got some pounds just to get us through till I could get to an ATM in Edinburgh and then we blew through security so fast that we didn’t know what hit us. Whew! The guy checking passports complimented Dad’s ’stache 😂

We got to our terminal and after a little looking around got a late lunch at Wendy’s and sat at our gate until it was time to board.

Lufthansa had us leaving right on time (as any good German transportation service would!) and as soon as we were in the air we had a nice dinner of pasta and cheesecake before we tried to get some sleep (I hit the melatonin chocolate to help that along..). After just a few hours it was time for breakfast (blueberry muffin and blueberry yogurt) and then we got to wave at Scotland as we flew over.

We landed a short while later and breezed through the Frankfurt airport to a bus that took us to our smaller terminal. We found a place to sit and wait for an hour until our next flight. Whew!
